JJ Corbett Tampa Chapter, 555th Scholarship Information
501(c)(3) Exempt
​
Primary Goal: To promote activities which provide for scholarships for Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Cadets desiring to enter airborne service, and/or high school graduates of merit seeking higher education, with a demonstrated need for assistance.
​
Purpose: To provide uniform procedures and instructions for implementation of the Robert F. Greene - Atlanta Chapter of 555th PIA Scholarship Program.
​
Objectives: The primary objective of the Chapter’s Scholarship Programs is to encourage qualified High School applicants to attend college of their choice. To establish a liaison for each Metro AtlantaPublic School that has a JROTC program. That person will be responsible to ensure that 555th information is disseminated to school which will allow for "Keeping the Legacy Alive".
Criteria
(1) Must be a High School student in the Metro Atlanta Area School System.
(2) Must meet all four-year college/University entrance requirements for the Institution the student plans to attend.
(3) The applicant must not be receiving any major merit based scholarships.
(4) The applicant must have at least a 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA).
(5) Copy of University/College Acceptance Letter
(6) Copy of High School Transcripts
(7) Copy of 1 to 2 Paragraph Attachment explaining the "History of the Triple Nickles"
(8) The Chapter shall award at least one (1) scholarship.
(9) Submission of packet must be submitted by 15 Mar 2024.
